The Clean Fuels Project will be building six new units on the refinery’s existing property — using innovative technology to ensure high reliability, energy efficiency, low pollution and greater safety. This renovation of Bakersfield’s Big West Refinery:

• Creates over 100 permanent, high-wage jobs at the refinery — jobs that pay over $70,000 a year.
• Employs up to 1,200 workers during the two-year construction phase.
